1 large onion sliced into 1/4 inch or 1/2 I'm.
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup of corn starch
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 cup of cold water
Bread crumbs to coat.
Instructions:
Prepare the batter by adding all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Mix thoroughly and gradually add cold water until a pancake batter consistency is achieved. Cover and allow to rest.
Slice the onions into 1/4 inch or 1/2 cm sizes, and separate each onion ring from each other.
Dip each onion ring into the batter, ensure the onions is fully coated.
Remove the onions from the batter and dip in bread crumbs. Allow to rest for 5- 10 minutes.
Deep fry until golden brown.
