Learn How to cook ogbono soup! With This Simple African ogbono soup recipe


For this Ogbono soup, you'll need: 

Ingredients : 

Seasoning: 

Crayfish

2 medium onions (sliced)

Fresh thyme 

Dried thyme. 

Basil 

Oregano 

Salt to taste

Garlic powder 


Protein: 

1 pound beef 

Dried fish 

Stockfish


Wet ingredients: 

Half a cup of palm oil. 

Water 


Instructions: 

In a pot add: 

-Your protein of choice (Stockfish, Dried fish,  Crayfish, Beef)

-Add Seasoning: (thyme,  basil, oregano, crayfish, salt,  onions, garlic powder)


-Mix well and add water. Cover and allow to boil. 


-A few moments later, pour palm oil, salt, and pepper stir, and allow to boil. 


-Once the stock boils; Stir and add ogbono to the boiling stock 


-Mix properly, Cover the pot, And allow boiling 


-Check the soup after a few minutes after it has boiled properly, 


-If your soup is lumpy; Add a glass of water, then cover the pot and leave it to boil. 



-Once it boils thoroughly, the Ogbono soup is ready 


-You can add your choice of vegetables 

For example spinach,  ugwu, bitter leaf 

Note: vegetable is optional
